The Plugchain team is excited to announce that Plugchain is having major upgrades in October.
Upgrade of blockchain is common for most projects like Ethereum, Solana and others.
Usually, blockchain upgrades lead to increase in the number of chain feature, improved capacity thereby leading to more use cases for the blockchain involved.
One good example is Ethereum’s recent London hard fork EIP-1559 upgrade. The London upgrade allows users to complete transactions on Ethereum chain easily and also reduce the amount of Ethereum token in circulation by burning part of every transaction fee. This upgrade will lead to reduction in the supply of Ethereum thereby causing the price of Ether tokens to surge.
Also, Cardano Alonzo upgrade has allowed the capability of smart contracts being created and deployed on Cardano’s mainnet. The upgrade has led to a surge in the price of Cardano (ADA) token.
Plugchain is set to have an increased number of use cases and features after the upgrade, with the price of Plugchain token also set for an upside movement.
The smart contract function test is scheduled to hold in October 2021.
Plugchain testnet is also set to be launched and community members will be able to participate using testnet tokens.
You can participate in the Plugchain testnet using the following steps:
- Build a common node on Plugchain, connect the node to the test network and participate in the testnet.
- Use the dev branch for the warehouse code, compile plugchaind [dev branch code](https://github.com/oracleNetworkProtocol/plugchain/tree/dev)
- Token test content: creation, modification, additional issuance, destruction, modification of ownership and token series query function.
